About

The Brazoria-Galveston County Farm Bureau has proudly served our communities since 1956. As one of the largest county Farm Bureaus in Texas—with more than 11,000 members—we are dedicated to being a strong voice for agriculture and rural life in our region. Our mission is simple: to stand up for the people who grow our food, care for our land, and keep our local economy strong.

We’re a grassroots organization, meaning our programs are built by and for our members. We support local farmers, ranchers, landowners, and families through a variety of efforts, from educational programs and youth outreach to policy advocacy and community giving. Our work includes Ag in the Classroom, scholarships, 4-H and FFA support, livestock show sponsorships, and donations to organizations like food banks, libraries, and civic groups.
We also believe in preparing the next generation. Our Young Farmers & Ranchers program gives young adults ages 18–35 a chance to connect, grow as leaders, and build strong agricultural businesses. Our county leaders work closely with elected officials to represent the needs of rural families and protect property rights and agricultural interests at the local, state, and national level.

Advocacy

The Brazoria-Galveston County Farm Bureau is a strong local voice advocating for farmers, ranchers, and rural communities. Through grassroots involvement, we work closely with Texas Farm Bureau to influence legislation, protect private property rights, and promote policies that support agriculture and rural life. Our members stay informed and engaged in issues that matter most—because when local voices unite, real change happens at the state and national levels.
