The Farmers Corral is an interactive agricultural learning center presented by the Brazoria-Galveston County Farm Bureau during the Brazoria County Fair in October and the Galveston County Fair in April.
The Farmers Corral gives children, families, students, and fair visitors an opportunity to experience agriculture up close. With a combined attendance of more than 20,000 visitors, the Farmers Corral is one of the ways we help connect our communities with the farmers, ranchers, animals, crops, and agricultural practices that are an important part of everyday life.

Learn, Explore & Experience Agriculture
Agriculture is about much more than what happens on a farm. The Farmers Corral uses interactive displays, demonstrations, animals, and hands-on activities to show visitors where their food and other everyday products come from.
Visitors can explore stations featuring chicken egg hatching, planting seeds, the growth stages of cotton and corn, agricultural by-products, live bees, and agricultural videos. Demonstrations using equipment such as a mini cotton gin, corn sheller, and rice huller help show how crops move from the field to products we use every day.
The Brazoria County Fair Farmers Corral also features additional agricultural experiences, including a mobile dairy, butter and cheese tastings, and live animals such as chickens, calves, pigs, rabbits, goats, and sheep.
Whether you’re five or 85, there’s always something new to discover about agriculture.
Growing the Next Generation
The Farmers Corral isn’t just about teaching visitors. It also gives local young people an opportunity to share their knowledge and passion for agriculture.
Students from area FFA chapters and 4-H clubs help operate stations, interact with visitors, and assist with setting up and taking down exhibits. Their involvement provides valuable leadership and communication experience while allowing visitors to learn directly from young people who are actively involved in agriculture.
It’s another way we’re helping agriculture’s next generation grow while educating today’s community.

The Farmers Corral would not be possible without the support of the organizations, volunteers, agricultural professionals, and young people who come together each year to make it happen.
We are proud to work alongside organizations including the Brazoria County Fair Association, Galveston County Fair & Rodeo, Texas 4-H, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, FFA, Southwest/Southland Dairy Farmers, and Brazoria County Beekeepers Association.
Together, we’re helping people better understand agriculture and the important role it plays in Brazoria County, Galveston County, and across Texas.
